Avocado

The avocado is a fruit and a vegetable at the same time with an exquisite and smooth flavor and a tender and creamy consistency that allows it to be combined with any food. Its skin is green, the tone and texture change from one variety to another. It has a creamy green flesh that covers a large brown inedible seed.

World consumption of avocado increases by 5% each year. In Peru there are about 32,000 hectares of Hass avocado cultivation.

Its seasonal availability occurs in the months of May, June, July, August and September.

Its uses and applications are as a fat that is used in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry.
